Founded in 1997, John B. Murray Architect, LLC has developed a reputation for elegant and gracious design. The philosophy of the firm emphasizes a flexible and imaginative approach to architectural conventions, adapting traditional architectural design to a modern context. The task most central to the firm's mission is to refine the architectural details of space and create a beautiful aesthetic form.

Current projects include a wide range of residential buildings throughout the United States. Among these are large and small country estates consisting of main houses, cottages, pool houses, barns and recreational facilities. They range from alterations and additions to ground-up designs. The firm also works on numerous New York City apartment renovations, often combining apartments to form duplexes and triplexes.

The firm's long standing client relationships are one measure of success in which it takes great pride. In setting up his practice, John B. Murray has retained an awareness of the obligation of himself, his Associates and staff to represent the interests of the client throughout the entire building process. They collaborate very closely with interior decorators, landscape architects, engineers and other building professionals, achieving holistic expressions of traditional design.

Comprised of a select and talented staff of 17 employees, the firm maintains a personal, hands-on approach with each commission.
